On the morning of New Year’s Day, ten classmates of mine and I went out on a picnic in a country park near Shatin. Early in the morning, we gathered at the Hung Hom Station, getting all the necessary utensils and cooking materials ready i our sacks.

We took the 8:40 train and arrived at the destination before 10:00am. On arrival, we were overjoyed that the HOngkong Government was so considerate that there were tables and benches, fireplaces for barbecues and playground in the country park. As it was approaching the time for lunch,three girl classmates and I prepared the barbecue lunch for the whole party. The other classmates went to play in the vicinity.

We four were busy with the preparatory work for the picnic, one making the cooking materials, such as chicken legs, chickenwings and pork steaks, ready for the barbecue and making some barbecue sauce and I doing sundry jobs for them.
